Integrative Recovery Services in Ashland Oregon
Since early 2000 I have been a dedicated Yoga practitioner. Little did I realize when I embarked on this study that it would lead me into a journey of deep personal transformation. I have seen the power of a strong personal practice in my own ability to remain present and move through life’s most difficult challenges. For me, mind/body practices are the keys to remembering the innate wisdom that dwells within and re-connecting with the inner peace that is always there, underneath the busyness of life and the mental noise.
I have a deep passion for working with addiction and related mental health concerns as a result of a long family history of struggle with the disease. In 2009, Kolpia Counseling invited me to teach a twelve-week program for addiction recovery, depression, and anxiety for their clients. Integrative Recovery TherapyTM was the result of that collaboration. In addition, I co-authored Breaking Free of Chronic PainTM, a self-help program for chronic pain management.
I received my Yoga teacher training in 2007 from Integrative Yoga Therapy. I received an additional certification from Sivananda in Yoga of Recovery for Counselors in 2009. In March 2014, I completed a 300 hour Yoga Therapist training program through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy. In January of 2017, I became a Certified Yoga Therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy. I also became a Certified Health Coach. It is my honor to be a part of the Kolpia Counseling Services team and have the opportunity to share the gifts of mind-body practices that have been such an important part of my own journey.
